Privacy Policy
Effective October 17, 2026
This policy explains what information KyPanel collects, why, and what we do with it. We collect as little as we need to sell licences, keep them valid and support you. We don't sell personal information.
What we collect
Your account
Name, email address, optional company name and a password (stored only as a salted hash). Sign-in sessions use a single cookie that is required for the client area to work; we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive the customer and subscription details needed to manage your licence (such as plan, status and renewal date) but never your full card number.
Licence checks
Each KyPanel installation regularly sends our licence server its main public IP address, a public key that identifies the installation, its hostname and its KyPanel version. We use this to validate licences and trials, prevent abuse and know which versions are in use. It does not include data about your hosting accounts, websites, email or customers.
Support
The tickets you open and the messages exchanged in them, including any details you choose to share.
Technical logs
Our hosting provider records standard request data (such as IP address, time and browser) to keep the services secure and working.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and provide the client area
- To issue, renew and validate licences and process payments
- To answer support tickets and send service emails (confirmations, receipts, ticket replies)
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to comply with legal obligations
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run parts of our service for us: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting of our website, client area and licence server) and Resend (sending email). They process data on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account and licence records are kept while your account exists and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Support tickets are kept for as long as your account exists. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can see and correct your account details in the client area. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, open a ticket at my.kypanel.com; we will answer within 30 days.
Security
Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted, licence messages are signed, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to provide the service.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will announce it by email or in the client area before it takes effect.
